I’m Holland — founder of Rooted by Design and a Phoenix native who grew up watching my dad grow both food and memories in the desert soil. As a mom of four, I wanted my own kids to experience that same joy — to see where food comes from, to make memories outdoors, and to feel the magic of growing something with their own hands.

What began as a small backyard project soon became the heart of our family life — a space of connection, creativity, and slow, simple wonder. That experience inspired Rooted by Design: a garden design studio and digital community dedicated to helping families everywhere grow confidently, whether that means hands-on garden installation in Phoenix or DIY guidance and resources online.

Today, Rooted by Design offers custom raised-bed designs, installations, consultations, and digital tools to make gardening approachable for every lifestyle. From full-service garden builds to step-by-step playbooks, my goal is to help you skip the overwhelm, build something beautiful, and enjoy the process along the way.
