My name is Holland, and I grew up watching my dad grow both food and memories in the desert soil of Phoenix, Arizona. When I became of mother, I knew I wanted my own children to learn where food comes from, to create lasting memories outdoors, and to feel the joy of tasting something they helped grow.

When I planted my first garden in 2020, I hoped for those things — but the experience gave us so much more. The garden quickly became the heart of our family life, filled with carrot races, potato treasure hunts, and moments that taught us patience, perseverance, and the thrill of small surprises. It reignited my own sense of wonder and awe.

Rooted by Design grew from that rediscovered joy. My passion is helping families take the overwhelm and guesswork out of gardening so they can experience that same sense of connection. I believe every family can grow successfully together — not just food, but memories, traditions, and a deeper appreciation for the world right outside their door.
