I’m Holland — founder of Rooted by Design and a Phoenix native who grew up watching my dad grow both food and memories in the desert soil. As a mom of four, I wanted my own kids to experience that same joy — to understand where food comes from, spend more time outdoors, and feel the magic of growing something with their own hands.

What began as a backyard project soon became something much bigger: a love for helping people create gardens that feel personal, purposeful, and truly suited to the way they live.

Rooted by Design is built around one core belief: the right garden should grow more than food. It should support your goals, fit your lifestyle, work with your space, and make gardening feel more rewarding — not more overwhelming.
